For Today
February 22,2021
The warmth of the sun is a very welcome blessing today, a week ago SW Arkansas saw a low of 2 degrees. It's supposed to reach 65 today, and 68 tomorrow, with rain the rest of the week. There are still bits of snow on the ground from the 12 inches that fell here at our home.
I am thinking
Trying to think on "Whatever is...."
Philippians 4:8
I'm tired due to not taking care of myself wisely. I tend to focus on the negative lately, not verbally as much as vocally, but enough that it is filtering into the physical side of things.
Dog and cat hair on my sofa and clothes.
I do vacuum, the goal is once a day, however
I saw a meme once that said,
"Rich people have fancy names on their clothes,
Happy people have dog/cat hair on their clothes.".
I love my furbabbies, we were not in anyway looking to add to our household, but 3 of them are rescues, 1 indoor cat, 1 outdoor cat, and the female dog. 2 of them are results of the rescue, 1 indoor cats and the male puppy (at this time he is 2 and weighs 80 lbs.)
I am creating
An 1830's dress, baby things for a new granddaughter arriving very soon, and things for my Etsy shop.
Long sleeve shirt, denim skirt, and house shoes.
I am reading (read) /watching (watched) / listening to
I am considering watching The Chosen.
If you have seen this I would love for you to leave a comment. Currently I am very careful about Scripture being added to, and have read a cautious, yet gentle, warning regarding the show, and believe I can get past this, but for reasons I will not get into, I prefer Scripture Only. Having said that, I'm curious for any input.
I am hoping
I am learning (the hard way)
Without God I am nothing,
With Him I can do all things.
Thank you Michelle Lesley for this post.
(my notes)
I am His child, and therefore I am precious to Him, however, even on my best day I still fall short, yet Jesus loves me. He loved me, and you, enough to go to the cross for me, and you too. No wonder all those pretty fluff memes just did not work for me, if anything I felt worse. If I stop and fill up on His word, it's like gas in my tank. Poor analogy I know, but it's as close as I can get.
In my kitchen
Massive clean tomorrow, hubby was off work for over a week, and we just enjoyed the time together, so although I did clean daily, it is time for a scrub down.
In my garden
Wishing I could!

Shared Quote
Any concern too small to be turned into a prayer is too small to be made into a burden.

Closing Notes
Plan ahead, pray for the best, prepare for the worst because those who fail to plan,
plan to fail.

Thank you for visiting my blog, Valerie. I've really enjoyed reading through yours. I especially like the quote in today's post about small concerns being made into a burden. Enjoy your day, and I'm glad it's warmed up for you in Arkansas!
ReplyDeletePopping over from The Simple Woman's Daybook. Thanks for the lovely comment on mine. That was the first time I've read that post from Michelle Lesley. Now that's something we need to remind ourselves of daily. I used to be one of those women caught up in those false teachers. So glad God opened my eyes to the truth.
ReplyDeleteYou shared one of my favorite scriptures. I often have to remind myself what it says in Philippians 4:8 when so much is going on around me. I hope the rest of your week goes well. May God's peace and blessings sustain you :)
